About the product
This striking Bauhaus poster, "Bauhaus Ausstellung Cross," features a bold, cream-colored geometric cross shape set against a rich, dark green background. The design exemplifies the core principles of the Bauhaus movement, emphasizing simplicity, strong geometric forms, and a functional aesthetic. The central cross, formed by four inward-curving shapes, creates a powerful and balanced visual focal point. The top of the poster clearly displays "BAUHAUS" in a clean, sans-serif typeface, immediately identifying its origin. Below the central motif, "Ausstellung" (German for "Exhibition") is subtly placed on the left, with "1919" on the right, marking the foundational year of the Bauhaus school and likely the year of a significant exhibition. This poster is a quintessential example of early Bauhaus graphic design, showcasing its innovative use of form and color to convey information directly and aesthetically. It would be an ideal addition to any space seeking a touch of classic modernism, adding historical artistic significance and a sophisticated pop of color.
